1. Municipal water supply
In the aspect of water supply engineering design, CINFhas gone through the process from industrial water supply engineering design to urban water plant design, with a scale from tens of thousands of tons to more than 600,000 tons of daily water supply. There areengineeringcases of 17km reverse slope diversion in the water source designandconstruction of submerged water pump house, apurification designcase oflarge accelerated clarifier with a diameter of about 35m early inthe 1970sandithas been in normal operation so far. As CINF’sprojects are all over China, we have accumulated rich experience in earthquake areas and areas with poor engineering geology. We also haveengineering casesofresource evaluation and exploitation design of surface water, groundwater and reclaimed water. Technically, wecan continuously sum up production practice experience and study hard and adopt effective new technologies, new processes, new materials and new equipment.
2. Municipal Drainage
Since the 1980s, CINF’slarge and medium-sized engineering projects design hasbasically achieved the "Three Simultaneities" and accumulated design experience in treating all kinds of sewage. In the design of urban sewage treatment plants, there are 4 sewage treatment plants currently being designed or to be putinto operation with a daily treatment capacity of more than 100,000t. According to local economic development level and natural environment conditions, we select reasonabletreatment methods. We have applied mature or advanced treatment processes such as SBR process and its improved process, AO, improved oxidation ditch and continuous integrated activated sludge process to engineering design. A number of projects have won provincial and ministerial level outstanding design awards.
3. Treatment of Heavy Metal Sewage
In terms of heavy metal sewage treatment, CINFhas reached the leading level in China. We have accumulated rich experience in heavy metal wastewater produced by non-ferrous metal smelting, mining, electronics and other industries from the early standard discharge to the currentadvanced treatment and reuse. We have unique processes for heavy metal ion wastewater with high arsenic and mercury. Due to theoutstanding contribution to heavy metal wastewater treatment, we are authorized to edit the book Non-ferrous Metal Industrial Wastewater Treatment. In 1997, weindependently compiled Design Code for Chemical Treatment of Heavy Metal Sewage (CECS92: 97). Since its use, we tookthe lead in revising the code and renamed it Design Standard for Heavy Metal Sewage Treatment (CECS92: 2016)in 2017, which was promulgated and implemented on March 1, 2017.
In recent years, we apply four patents for heavy metal sewage treatment.
4. Treatment of High Concentration Organic Wastewater
CINFhas extensive engineering practice in high concentration organic wastewatertreatment. We have two invention patents for the treatment of high salt, high COD and high chroma wastewater, engineering cases for gallnut deep processing wastewater, chitin production wastewater, garbage leachate, coking wastewater, printing and dyeing wastewater and food processing wastewater, and have trained a number of biochemical commissioning technicians.
5. Slurry Pipeline Conveying
CINF is the editor-in-chiefofDesign Standard for Slurry Long Distance Pipeline Transportation Engineering (T/CECS 98-2019)and the book was promulgated and implemented in2020. Through the efforts of several generations of technicians and the practice of large-scale mine projects, ourtechnologies in tailings transportation, concentrate transportation, red mud hydraulic transportation, mud-containing ore washing wastewater and other aspects becomemature. In the past two years, wedevelop rapidly in the transportation of high concentration, long distance, high altitude, large flow rate and coarse particle (relative) tailings. This field has been monopolized by American pipeline companies. Through introduction and independent research, we have established our own transportation system and applied the research results to the tailings transportation project of Pulang Copper Mine. Hydraulic transportation of concentrate is also a difficult problem, but wemaster thetechnology through summary and practice.
