The project is located in Pingguo County,Guangxi. Due to the continuous expansion of production capacity and the limitation of proven accumulative bauxite reserves,in order to expand the mineral resources and maintain strategic plan for sustainable development, Chinalco Guangxi branch began to entrust CINF to conduct the general surveyon the sedimentary bauxite depositin 2007 up to totalarea of about 20km2. Through the 1:5000 geological mapping, geological drilling, CINF identified the ore body distribution in the plane and section ,the hanging wall formation lithology and the distribution featureof the deposit, the distribution of ore outcrops,the orebody occurrence, the continuity of ore body along sedimentary outcrops and the bauxite occurrence position . As a result, eight sedimentary bauxite (block) bodies within the mining area are delineated,and 17.74 million tons of bauxite are found,the bauxite exploitable reserveof Taiping mine area areexpanded to guide the selection of the "target area” for the next stage of prospecting
The Datengxia Water Control Project is a landmark project for the ZhujiangRiver-Xijiang Economic Belt Development Plan and the infrastructureconstruction of Xijiang billion-ton golden waterway. After the water is impounded, the backwater level of the Minjiang River section of the Panlong Lead-zinc Mine of Guangxi Zhongjinlingnan Mining Co., Ltd. will reach 61.50 meters, which is 20-30 meters higher than the current river level, aswill affect the production safety of the Daling section of Panlong Lead-zincMine. The survey and design of the curtain project combines the grouting specifications of the two industries of mine and water conservancy and hydropower for the first time in China, which plays a positive role in preventing the river water from rising and threatening the safe production of the mine, reducing the ground subsidence and protecting the water resources. The survey and design results were highly appraised by experts from the water planning institute of the ministry of water resources. The length of curtain axis is 3912m, and 712 boreholes are designed. The total drilling footage is about 15×104m. The estimated investment is RMB 246 million , the largestinvestment in China for the curtain construction.
Thegeotechnical investigation site is located inLudong Township,Jingxi County. CINF conducted detailed designof the borehole layout ,depth, boreholenumber for in-situ tests and number of samples to be taken . At the same time CINF conducted the drilling in accordance with CINF quality assurance system. Totally 5912.79m (338 holes)are drilled,78 times standard penetrationtests were done, 760m (17 holes) of heavy dynamic penetration testwere done, 56 soil samples,6 water samples and 50 rock samples were taken. The geotechnical investigation results showed that the siteis stable and there is no other harmful geological process except karst. The resultssatisfied the requirements of design and construction.
The survey is a subproject of Detailed Exploration Project of 2# Bauxite Ore body in Dazeng, Laos Sekong, Laos, aimed to satisfy the requirement of the detailed mine geologic exploration and to provide reliable survey data.The survey covers GPS control survey, 1:2000, 1:5000 topographic map survey and engineering survey. Since the project was an overseas cooperation project , the survey plane coordinate and elevation was based on the UTM - WGS84 coordinate system.
