The business scope of CINF’ssmelting engineering design mainly includes the smelting of heavy non-ferrous metals, light non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, rare rare earths and precious metals, hard alloy, metal deep processing, industrial solid waste and hazardous waste treatment, new energy power battery materials, and engineering design and research of pyrite, sulfur and smelting flue gas acid production. Our metallurgical engineering covers mainly copper, lead, zinc, tin, antimony, bismuth, cadmium, cobalt, nickel, lithium, indium, germanium, gallium, tungsten and molybdenum, tantalum, niobium, vanadium, aluminum, manganese, gold, silver and rare earth metals. Wehas undertaken more than 500 large-scale metallurgical projects, providing design consulting services for more than 100 smelting enterprises at home and abroad. The total capacity of newly built, renovated and expanded non-ferrous metal smelting is about 4500kt/a, and the total capacity of acid making is about 3000kt/a. The smelting and processing capacity of tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium, vanadium and rare earth is about 50kt/a, and the processing capacity of hard alloy is about 10kt/a.


200,000tpa Pb and Zn Metallurgyand Resource Comprehensive Utilization  Project of JCC

Located in Hukou County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, the project capacity is designed at 100,000tpa cathode Zn and 100,000tpa cathode lead based on the Zn hydrometallurgical process,110m2 large fluidized-bed roaster, large-cathodeelectrowinning and Zn automatic stripping technology. Lead smelting is based on the PbKivcet direct smelting process and large anode vertical model casting technology The combined production of Pb and Zn is designed to realize resource comprehensive utilization and cyclic economic development. The project was successfully put into operation in March, 2013.  



Kivcet Pb Direct Smelting Project (with Zn Leached Residue Blended in theCharge) of Zhuzhou Smelter Group

Located in Zhuzhou, Hunan, the project is the first in China to introduce Kivcet lead  direct smelting technology with some Zn leached residue blended in the chargefor processing. The project design capacity is 120,000tpa cathode lead. The enterprise overall smelting level can be improved by the integrated production of lead and zinc to give impetus to the cyclic economic development and overcome the difficulty in the residue disposal by the client. The project wassuccessfully put into operation in Jan. 2013.

CINF is awarded with Ministerial-level and Provincial-level First Prizes for Excellent Engineering Consultation and Ministerial-level Quality Engineering Award.


Environmental Control Project of 80,000tpa Pb Bath Smelting Operation of Henan Yuguang Au and Pb Co., Ltd.

Located in Jiyuan, Henan, the project is the first in China to apply the liquid high-Pb slag direct reduction technology into the commercial production and conduct the mass production of lead bullion by enriched oxygen bottom blown oxidization and enriched oxygen bottom blown reduction.The project was put into operation in May, 2010 as a pioneer to produce lead bullion by enriched oxygen bottom blown oxidization and enriched oxygen bottom blown reductionto promote the development of the Pb metallurgical technology.

In 2011,CINFwas awarded with the first prize for Technological Advancement in the Nonferrous Metal Industry for   the projectof Research and Commercial Application of High-Pb Molten Slag Direct Reduction Technology and second prize ofNational Technological Advancement for the project of High-Efficiency Pollution-Free Pb Metallurgy and Resource Recycling Key Technology and Industralization.



Technical Upgrading Project ofISP Pb and Zn Smelting Operationof Shaoguan Smelter

Built in 1966, Shaoguan Smelter is a large Pb and Zn smelter, it is the first in China to import ISP process for the processing of refractory lead and zinc concentrate. In 2008, upon the technical upgrading of two ISP systems, the lead and zinc production was up to 300,000tpa. CINF has obtained the state-level award for Excellent Engineering.  




Project of 100000tpa Zn Pressure Leaching New Technology and Technical Upgrading for Comprehensive Recovery of Ga and Ge in Danxia Smelter of Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Company

Located in Renhua County, Guangdong Province, the project is the first in China to import oxygen pressure leaching process for Zn hydrometallurgy. China first  large Zn pressure leaching production line is built on EPC basis. The project is the first in China to apply the large cathode and automatic Zn stripping technology, to realize the pollution-free fully hydrometallurgy of metallic sulfide ore and sulfur recovery  and high-efficiency recovery of Ga, Ge and other metals with environmental, energy-saving and comprehensive technical indicators up to the world advanced level of the similar plants. The project was put into operation in 2009.

Danxia Smelter is the only Pb and Zn smelter in China to have been selected in the list of the state model environmental-friendly manufacturing Systems.


Technical Upgrading Project of 100,000tpa Zn Fluidized-bed Roasting Operation and Accessory Acid-making System of Nanfang Nonferrous Metal Group Co., Ltd.

Located in Nandan County, Guangxi Province, the project has applied 119m2 large fluidized-bed roaster to produce calcine. The design capacity is100kt/a Zn metal to accommodate the existing 200kt/a cathode zinc production line. The by-produced SO2 off-gas is treated to produce sulfuric acid after waste heat recycling The project was put into operation in 2009.


Project of Sb/Ag and Other Valuable Metal Recovery and Technical Upgrading of Nanfang Nonferrous Metal Group

Located in Chehe Town , Nandang County, Guangxi Province, the project is designed with annual throughput of 300kt/a Sb and Ag polymetallic materials. It is the first in China to use enriched-oxygen side-blown continuous smelting process with oxidization furnace, reduction furnace and fuming furnace to ensure continuous smelting operation in the oxidization furnace, reduction furnace and fuming furnace and greatly improve the energy-saving and environmental effect in the pyrometallurgical process. The valuable metals like Sb and Ag are recovered as final products by the treatment of the anode slime. The project was put into operation in Dec., 2016 with good performanceas an modernized smelting operation and industry leader with first-rate environment.


100,000tpa Zn Pressure Leaching New Technology Project of Western Mining Company

Located in Qinhai Ganhe Industrial Zone (at elevation of 2600m), the project is an Zn pressure leaching plant with the world highest elevation. The project is based on the oxygen pressure leaching process, large cathode plate and automatic Zn stripping process. Sulfur is recovered by flotation to realize pollution-free hydrometallurgical production of Zn. The project was put into operation in Dec. 2015.



600,000tpa Pb and Zn Smelting Complex and Resource Comprehensive Utilization  Project of Tibet Hengkun Smelting Company Ltd.

Located in the Qinhai Germu Zangqing Industrial Zone, the project is constructed in two phases with overall design capacity of 600,000tpa Pb and Zn and the associated valuable metals like Sb, Bi, Au. Ag and In will be recovered from the raw material. It is China largest Pb and Zn smelting project under construction. The project is based on the advanced combined smelting process of oxygen-enriched bath Pb melting and Zn direct extraction by oxygen pressure leaching with high level of pollution-free production as a new benchmark for the Pb and Zn smelting projects at high-elevation area (elevation up to ~3000 m). The project is under construction.



SichuanHuili 100,000t/a CathodeZincMetallurgical Project

Located in Dianshaguan,Yundian,HuiliCounty,SichuanProvince, direct leaching technology of zinc sulfide concentrate developed by China is adopted. After neutralization, iron removal and purification of leaching liquid, large cathodeelectrowinningtechnology is adopted to produce cathode zinc.Sulfur is produced by flotation, melting, thermal filtration and granulation of leachslag.Tailings and sulfur slag were treated innocuously by oxygenside blownfurnace, and valuable elements such as lead, zinc, silver, copper, germanium and sulfur were recovered at the same time.It is a EPC- based project.



The Indium Zinc System of Laibin Huaxi Tin Smelting Co., Ltd

Located inLaibin city, Guangxi.Laibin Tin smelting Co., Ltd.is formerly known  as LaibinSmelter. Its indium zinc system has an annual output of 60,000t zinc ingots and 80t indium ingots. The indium system was put into operation in 1997 and the zinc system was put into operation in 1999.In order to processthe high-indium zinc concentrate in Dachang,Guangxi and improve the indium recovery, the technology of "hot acid leaching- Iron vitriol method " was developed to smeltzinc and extract indium.The project of " New Process Development forIndium Zinc Smelting of Dachang High- Indium Zinc Concentrate and Indium High-Tech Products " has won the second prize of NationalTechnologyAdvancement.



Relocation and TechnologyUpgradingProjectand Yunnan Xinli 100,000t/aCathodeLead Refinery

Located in Qujing City,Yunnan Province.Project design covers cathode lead production, copper dross processing and precious metals recovery ,the projectwas   put into operation in 2005 as China largest domestic cathode lead refineryconstructed as one go, it is Chinafirst to introducethe anode verticalmodel  casting production line and accessory Pb starting sheet manufacturing unit ,the first to apply the large anode to the cathode and anode automatic spacing unit , the first to develop the 150 t large capacity lead kettleand electrolytic leadkettle to promotethe lead electrowinningrefining technology withlarge capacity , mechanization and automation equipment. CINF has won the ministry-level first prize forExcellent EngineeringDesign and the silver award forNational QualityProjects.



Expansion Project of Xinjiang Kelatongke Cu and Ni Smelting Operation

Located in Fuwen County, Xinjiang, the project is the first in China to apply the  enriched- oxygen side-blown bath smelting technology ( CSC )developed by CINF into the processing of complex refractory Cu-Ni complex ore to ensure energy-saving, less discharge and high-efficiency recovery of the valuable metals. The project capacity is designed with  the production of high-grade nickelmatte up to 8000t/a nickel metal contained and annual nickelconcentrate throughput up to 500,000t/a. The project was put into operation in Dec., 2010.

The CSC technology has been listed by the NDRC in the State Key Energy-saving Technology Popularization Catalogue


Ningde 400,000tpa Copper Smelting  Project of Chinalco Dongnan Copper Company

Located in Ningde, Fujiang Province, the project is based on the copper flash smelting and flash converting process with annual production of 400,000 cathode copper. CINF has undertaken the project as EPC contractor.  



Relocation and Technical Upgrading Project of Chifeng Yuntong 400,000tpa Cu Smelting Operation

Located in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia,the project is based on the process of oxygen side-blown bath smelting-top blown continuous converting, characterized by short process, high equipment operating rate, high heat utilization rate and  prominent energy-saving and environmental effect. CINF has undertaken the project as EPC contractor.The project is under construction.



EPC-basedAnode Slime Pre-processing ProjectforTechnicalUpgrading of Gold and CopperComprehensiveRecovery Operation under HunanShui Kouhan Nonferrous Metals Group Co.,Ltd.

Theproject construction was started in June 2016 and was completed in 2017. It has an important demonstration and benchmarking effect on the comprehensive design and implementation of copper smeltingprojects.

Innovation and optimization of process design: The integrateprocess of hydrometallurgy and pyrometallurgy is appliedtoprocesshigh-value anode slimerich in precious metals such as gold and silverwith the capacity of800t/a. The anode slimeis filtered by a filter press. The filter residue is naturally oxidizedbefore 2-   stageconcentrated sulfuric acid slurring and thensent to calcinationsoperation. The selenium dioxide in the off-gas is reduced by sulfur dioxide to produce crude selenium. The calcine is hot dipped . And active copper powder and copper wire is used for replacing silver in leachate. The products include crude selenium powder, crude silver powder, pretreatment slag and valuable metals such as gold, silver and selenium are effectively recovered.



The1000kt/aCopper-cobaltSlagComprehensiveUtilizationProject of Nkana Mining and Resources Processing Co., Ltd.

The project isbuilt in the China Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone in the Copper Belt Province of Zambia, Chambishi. The copper-cobalt slag is used as raw material to produce cathode copper by advanced pressure leaching-extraction-electrowinning process to recover copper and cobalt to realize comprehensive recycling of resources. ThePhase I project is undertaken by CINF on EPCM basis. It is planned to build a demonstration project of comprehensively recyclingofwaste copper and cobalt slag in the world.The crude cobalt hydroxide is produced by neutralizing copper extraction residual liquid and cobalt depositing.The first-phase design capacityis to treat 600kt/a of copper-cobalt slag, and after the second phaseproject construction is completed, it can process 1000kt/a of copper-cobalt slag,the projectservice life will be about 20 years.

The main production processes are copper and cobalt slag crushing, grinding, dipping and presoaking, oxygen pressure leaching, leaching slag filtration and iron removal, copper extraction, copper electrowinning and so on.


Copper-containing SludgeTreatment Project of GEM Co., Ltd

Jingmen GEM's waste circuit board pyrolysis product recycling project can treat 10,000 tons/awaste circuit board pyrolysis products, electroplating sludge 30,000 tons/a,scrapcopper 15,000 tons/a, copper sulfide slag 4000 tons /a. The technicalprocessof rotary kiln drying - oxygen-enriched side blown bath smelting- waste heat recovery by waste heat boiler-dioxinremovalfromoff-gasand dust collection - tail gas treatment is adoptedto realize harmless treatment of hazardous waste and resource effective recovery, the black copper is produced. The project has appliedthe oxygen-enriched side blown bath smelting technologydeveloped by CINF to replace the traditional blast furnace process. The oxygen-enriched side blown bath smelting technology was selected into the catalogue of the national key energy-saving technology recommendation in 2010. Compared with the smelting in the blast furnace , theprocess is characterized by more simple preparation of furnace charge ,better operatingenvironmentandlowercomprehensive energy consumption . At present, the civil construction of the project has come to an end and the project is put into operation currently.


Expansion and Technical Upgrading Project of 4000t/a Co Operation of Jinchuan Group

Located in Jinchang, Ganshu Province, the project is a key project for Jinchaung Group to be developed into No1 Co Producer in the Co industry. The main process is based on the process of leaching-extraction-Co precipitation -spray drying. The project was put into operation in 2004with various indicators all up to the design indicators.CINFis awarded with ministerial-level first prize forExcellentEngineeringDesign,state-level silver medal for high-quality Project and state-level silver medal for ExcellentEngineeringDesign.


4000t/a Co Production Line Relocation and Upgrading Project of Jiangxi Jiang Tungsten and Cobalt Company Ltd.Phase 1

The project was put into operation in 2009 to produce Co series products like Co3O4 and by-produce nickel sulfate and cathode copper from Cu-Co ROM ore, Cu and Co alloy and crude cobalt carbonate by the advanced process of pretreatment-leaching- purification-W extraction.


Project of 120,00tpa battery-grade Co Oxide and Co Series Product Production Lines of Tianjing Maolian Technology Company Ltd.

The project is aimed to produce Co3O4, electrowinning Co and ternary materials and by-produce nickel sulfate and cathode copper from copper sulfide  and cobalt ores, copper alloy (red and white alloy) to provide quality raw materials for the rapid development of the domestic new energy automobile power in the battery industry. The project was put into operation in 2006.


Project of 30,000t/a High-purity Low-Se Cathode Mn Metal Production Line and 20,000t/a Hg-free Alkali Mn-type Cathode Mn Dioxide Production Line of Guangxi Huiyuan Manganese Industry Co., Ltd.

Located in Laibing City, Guangxi Province, the project is based on the main process of  Mn sulfate leach solution preparation just by one-stage reaction of two raw materials  with design capacity of 30,000t/a high-purity low-Se EMM and 20,000t/a Hg-free alkali Mn-type cathode Mn dioxide. The project was commissioned and put into operation successfully in Dec., 2006 with the main production indicators all up to the design indicators. The overall equipment and technology are up to the China advanced and world advanced level. CINF is awarded with Ministerial-level firstprize for Excellent Engineering.


Project (Phase I) of Songtao Mn Series Product Downstream Processing  and Accessory Facilities

Located in Songtao County, Guizhou Province, The project design capacity is 160,000 tons/a EMM, supporting 300,000 tons/a sulfuric acid and waste heat power generation. The project design capacity is 80,000tpa (Phase I) EMM, with accessory facility of 300,000tpa sulfuric acid and after-heat power generation. The design is the first to apply the processes of pulverization by vertical mill, large-tank continuous leaching, on-line residue washing with large pressure filter and large cathode  electrowinning. The project was put into operation in Oct., 2013.

CINF is awarded with ministerial-level first prize for excellent engineering and consultation achievements.  


Mn Dioxide and Mn Sulfate Project of  Guizhou Nengkuang Mn Group

Located in Tongren Dalong Economic Development Zone,Guizhou, the project was invested by Guizhou Nengkuang Mn Group.The Phase Iproject wasdesigned to produce 33,000t/a cathode Mn dioxide and 60,000t/aMn sulfate. The project is targeted at the production of advanced Mn material to make efforts to construct the modern Mn plant.

CINF acts as the project EPC contractor, now the project is under construction.


Rare metal & Metallurgy and hard alloy processing.

Li, K and B Mineral Resource Development and Utilization Project (Phase II) in Dongtaijinaier Salt Lake

The project is designed with capacity of 10,000t/a high-purity commercial-grade lithium carbonate based on the world most advanced Li-Mg separation technology to realize economic production of high-purity commercial-grade lithium carbonate from the salt lake brine with high Mg-to-Li ratio.The project has applied the environmental-friendly , pollution free technology with low energy consumption , high automation level and high rate of resource utilization so that the lithium carbonate close to the battery grade is directly produced on the industrial production line to greatly improve the technological level for the comprehensive development and utilization of salt lake resources in China . The project has become a model of the state-level high-tech industrialization demonstration projects. It has also has opened up an effective way for the large-scale development and utilization of similar salt lakes both at home and abroad.

The project is awarded with the ministerial-level first prize for excellent engineering design, first prize for excellent engineering design achievement of the national construction projects, provincial-level first prize for technological advancement.

Ga, Ge, In and Cu Comprehensive Recovery and Technical Upgrading Project of Danxia Smelter

Located in Renhua County, Guangdong Province , the project has applied the intensified leaching process for the comprehensive recovery of various valuable metals like Ga, Ge, In and Cu  out of the purified residue from the Zn hydrometallurgical process. The project was put into operation in 2016. It is an innovative model in the field of comprehensive recovery from the hydrometallurgical residue by oxygen pressure leaching technology.



2.4.3Gold and Silver Electrolysis and Processing Project of Yongxing Guiyan Resources Co., Ltd.

Located in Hunan Yongxing---the Silver City of China, the project is designed with capacity of 500t/a Ag bullion2t/a gold bullion and 1t/a platinum metal. The project was put into operation in April, 2017.



Project of Relocation and Technical Upgrading of RE Separation Production Line of Chinalco Guangxi Branch

Located in Guangxi Chongzuo New Industrial District, the project annual throughput of 3000t(REO contained) southern ion-type RE ore to realize  the complete separation of 12 RE elements by the patented technology of Ammonium-free and nitrogen-free and non-saponification extraction separation of RE to reduce the acid and alkali consumption by 30~40% and greatly improve the production techno-economic indicators. The project was put into operation in Dec., 2014.



Project of Technical Upgrading of Traditional Mixed Material Preparation Line of Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group

Located inZhuzhou Cty,Hunan Province.

Two research achievements, "Research on Sandvik Process ControlTechnology" and "   Development of Spray DryingTower"have been applied to the process design of large-capacity production of high-performance cemented carbide mixture . It is the first in China to applyfully automated three-dimensional warehouse and constant temperature and humidity control to the cemented carbide industry.

The start up of the project has enabled the mixed material plant of Zhuzhou cemented CarbideGroup Co., Ltd. tobecome the world first-class modern cemented carbide raw materialplant .



Precious Metal Recovery SystemofRelocation and Technological Upgrading Project of Yunnan Xinli 100,000t/aCathode lead Refinery

Located in QujingCity,YunnanProvince.

The design capacityof precious metal recovery system is: 150t silver ingots /a, 500kg gold ingots /a;

The projectwas put into operation in 2006.

Theleadanodeslimewas processedbytheconverter, and the precious lead was reduced and smelted by converter, and the precious lead was oxidized and refined toobtaingold-silver alloybeforesilverelectrowinningto obtain the finished silver, and the anodeslime from silverelectrowinningwas decomposed by nitric acid beforegoldelectrowinningto obtain the finished gold.
