The business scope of CINF’s
chemical engineering design mainly includes: smelting and chemical
acid making engineering, desulfurization and denitration, inorganic
chemical industry, fine chemical industry and engineering design and
consultation in related industries. Wehavebeen engaged in the design consultation of acid production and
desulfurization from smelting and chemical flue gas for nearly 40
years. Over the years, we
have completed nearly 100
consultation and design cases of large and medium-sized sulfuric acid
and flue gas treatment. The newly-built and expanded acid production
capacity totaled about 8000kt/a. Ourchemical division owns9 national invention patents and 26 national utility model patents.Our chemical
and metallurgical engineering project designhas won more than 100
national, provincial and ministerial-level outstanding engineering
design awards, scientific and technological progress awards and
technological innovation awards. Wehave edited

Inorganic Acid, Alkali and Salt Committee of the China Chemical
Industry Association and the editorial board of the journal Sulfuric
Acid Industry.
It’s the first in China to successfully apply the process of low-concentration SO2 off-gas acid-making (with two-stage conversion two-stage absorption) ,tail gas is desulfurized by ammonia process to by-produce ammoniumsulfate so as to meet the stringent requirement for the environmental emission and realize the sulfur resource recycling. It is the first in China to apply the process of 2-stage conversion and 2-stage adsorption of Low-concentration SO2 Off-gas for acid-makingand off-gas desulfurization by ammonia.
This technology provides for the first time a method of alkali washing to removethezinc oxide dust. Justone system is required to simultaneously replacethe role of traditional multi-hearthfurnace, electrostatic precipitator and desulphurization tower, as is a bold technological innovation for the processingof zinc oxide raw materials in zinc smelter,
This system is characterized by greatly simplifiedprocess, lower investment , high efficiency and simple operation to realizetherecyclingof solid waste fromlead-zincoperationsand providea new solution for the recycling ofplantinternal resources.
The project is the first in China to apply the integrated system to realize the off-gas dedusting ,off-gas desulfurization and fluorineremoval from the zinc oxide dust in one patented system.
A new desulphurization tower withintegrated functions ofdesulphurization, humidification and high speed electric demistingis adopted to solve the environmental pollution problems caused by acidmistand particulate matter in off-gas desulphurization,it is the China first ammonia desulfurization Project in Nonferrous Industry to apply the electric demisting advanced purification process.
The process of mercury vapor removalfrom the off-gas from thenonferrous metal smelting operationand mercury recoveryby freezing method was adopted to avoid environmental pollution caused by mercury in waste acid and slag, and the problem of excessive mercury in sulfuric acid produced from theoff- gas acid production was solved.
The application of this process has resulted in high mercury removal efficiency, Hg recovery pollution controlled from the mercurydischargeby recycling the Hg without additionof any chemical agents, lowerinvestment and operating costs.

The
absorption technology for Hg removal is applied for advanced
purification and Hg recovery fromthe exhaust gas, new heavy metal
chelate ultra-fine powder material- NanoDM is applied to control Hg emission from the off-gas. The
absorbing capacity of the NanoDM is 60 times of that of the activated
carbon, it’s
easy to recycle with simplified process and less equipment investment
to maximize the Hg resource recovery and utilization. It is an
international advanced new environmental-friendly technology for Hg
removal, and the first project in China.
