Theproject has applied the patented technologyof oxygen-enriched side blownoxidizingandsmelting and oxygen-enriched side-blown reduction andsmelting process. It can harmlesslyprocess150 kt of high-arsenic and polymetallicmaterials every year, and maximize the
comprehensive recovery of the various valuable elements, such as copper, lead, zinc, tin, antimony, gold and silver, etc, effectively prevent secondary pollution, reduce environmental pressure andrealize comprehensive utilization of resources.
It is based on the new advanced and practical technology of pyrometallurgical enrichment- hydrometallurgical separation and multistage integrated coupling, with throughput of 100kt/a, for the comprehensive recovery of nonferrous metals such as Zn, In, Sn, Bi and Cd. It’s the first in in China and in the world to apply the advanced and practical process to realize harmless and large-scale treatment of the blast furnace Fe refining dust (bag filter dust).
This projecthas applied theenvironmental-friendly technology of co-extraction of vanadium and chromium bysub-molten salt process . The constructioncompletion and application of the world's first production line for vanadium extraction bysub-molten salt process has completelysolved the worldwide problem of large output of "three wastes" from the existing vanadium extraction process , difficult terminal treatment and high cost torealize high efficiency extraction and higher-value utilization of the Cr resource associated in the vanadium slag and develop the new mode for the environmental-friendly development of the vanadium and titanium industry .The industrialization construction of the projectwill lead the global technologicalupgradingof environmental-friendly vanadium extractionand vigorously promote the implementation of the international development strategy of vanadium and titanium operations in the steel plants in China.
The annualthroughput is 3,200kt/a. The red mud contains iron26%,Feconcentrate iron content is ≥ 55%, the iron recovery rate is 22%the annual iron concentrate output is 320kt.,equipment operation rate is 86.6% and the power consumption per ton rawmaterial processed is 4.26kWh.
The fresh water consumption per ton raw material processed is 0.5m3,unit production cost is RMB200.7/t and the total return on investment (ROI) is 34%.
This project has an investment of approximately RMB95,000,000 and the investment was increased by RMB130,000,000 through technical upgrading. The recoveryof iron concentrate was improved from 15% to 25%,red mud discharge is reduced by 10.5%. The project obtained satisfactory effect in environmental protection, safety, industrial hygiene,etc. and haspassed the acceptance by the relevantgovernment departments since this patent technology was put into operation. The project was put into operation in June 2011.
Meanwhile, the red mud discharge is reduced by 330kt/a, with a significant promotion value and demonstration effect. It was awarded in 2013 with ministerial-level second prize for Excellent Engineering Design
Rational pollution control program is applied for harmless disposal of As-containing waste and other waste residues to fundamentallyeliminate the pollution source potential risk on the Dehou reservoir water quality, and ensure the water quality safety, the project has significant environmental and social benefits.
The Dehou reservoir is one of the important water conservancy projects to be commenced in 2015 as determined by the State Council.
The waste residue dump covering an area of 30mu is left over by Baise Rongda Copper Company, the safe disposal and ecological rehabilitation of the residue dump have effectively solved the waste residue heavy metal pollution on Youjiang water, with good environmental and social benefits.
